I do nothing wrong
But am punished like
I committed mass murder.
You'd think I'd done something
A lot worse
Than wear my skirt a little too short
Or have extra piercing in.
I want to yell "piss off"
But the consequences of that
Would be equally as bad as
Being halved and quartered.
I want to learn
But how I look
Matters more to them
Than my education.
I guess that's what is wrong
With the school system these days.
The older generation will say
"We had it so much harder! Count yourselves lucky!"
Do they not want an environment
Where all they care about is
Student's welfare and education
Rather than the length of their skirt
As well?
