I hate you

olivergreenwood19

The harder I try to forget, forgive, move on

The more imprinted in my memory you become

My hatred burns deep, but not deep enough for the fire to reach where you live.

But not the you that betrayed me

Not the you that hurt me

Not the you I want

Not the you that makes my hatred burn hotter

No its the you that made me cry of happiness

It’s the you that was always there for me

It is the you who extended a hand when I needed it

All I can remember is the good

All the pictures point to it too

And my brain cannot comprehend it

The mixture of good and evil

The battle of fire and ice.

You have split me in half so I cannot function

You make sure I always remember

And for that, I truly hate you for.

Most people remember only the bad. I like this turn-around to remembering the good! Well written!
