You Have Me

Brie

I love the way you smile,

It lights up my day

I see you stride with pride, something I never had

I broke the ice between us, it melted quickly

I was scared, but I knew to act fast

I'd admired you for eons,

Never knowing if it was requited

But I guess it was, or sort of, you say

Still figuring out the kinks in where we stand

I wanted to believe that I could have you

But you can't have a person,

Not truly anyway

But oh boy,

You have me

Marvelous poem. The use of language was exquisite!
