Clarity

jonnyc1

A drop of poison flood his thoughts,

a loaded gun full of shots.

Only hope will erase the fear,

a drowning wind he will never hear.

The pain is dulled by a dark deception,

a heavy fog blinds his perception.

The day goes by as nights disappear,

jagged tears fall another year.

An empty bottle heeds no soul,

a tattered heart not near full.

Hoping a morning light to shine,

without the need to grip the wine.
