Finally Alone

b-LAH-que

It's been such a long day

As much as I repay my debts

to those who're left with whom to play

a daily game I must engage

It's so good to be home

And yet I'm not alone

Many steps far from my zone

Indebted, ties to whom I'm owned

pry for my mind's only known

attentions that I loan

And when it's gotten late

And weariness to which I've grown

reminds me  I'm not quite at home

'til day then meets their restful fate;

I'm finally alone
