A Winter Night's Dream

peterrock999

I am walking calm and alone

I feel cool and still, the only thing stirring is the eye

The moon at full beam plays the impenetrable dark transformed blue

Whilst the shimmering mantle rains faint rods of time

My hot breath frosted satisfies deep sighs

And underfoot the pale virgin drift quietly creaks

A canvas of a trillion stars

Even  the brightest drown in the galactic chorus

like echoes, opalescent mists wash over on a creeping tide - jealous my intrusion

When day sleeps the White Mountain rises toward Heaven against the dragons below

But their fury will not devour our theme

Now look East, dawn Breaks and saves us all.

    A lovely poem peterrock999.

I don't think my dreams were as ever vivid and deep like this.

    Keep writing
