A Kiss

Christopher Elwell

Throw caution to the wind

Cast off all misgivings

Set a course for the unknown,

Abandon fear, quieten worry

Dispel uncertainty, dive on in

Give yourself up, trust me, hurry

Dare me, hold me, hold me

Responsible for all your longings

With a kiss.

    Thank you cbrisp.

    That was beautiful.

The power of a kiss. One of my favourite songs is a Hall and Oates song Kiss on my List. This poem reminds me of that fantastic song.

    Keep writing.

Really like this poem. Especially for a first kiss. Makes me nostalgic! Beautiful for a kiss that will live in your heart for a long time.

This reminds me of the classic movie CASABLANCA...
“A kiss is just a kiss,
a sigh is just a sigh”...
    Thank you for the memories!
