Moonlight Journey

DareishDopple

I was awoken from the strangest of nightmares as I gaze through my empty room, squinting at the monsters ascaped from my racing brain,

I draw the blinds to reveal the brilliant moon staring back with glee. suddenly, there are no monsters to sink their fangs and slash their claws. I slide open the window to my roof outside, basking in the glory that is the moonlight.

I trip! my thoughts fill with dread as I plumet torwards the ground. I brace myself, but the pain doesnt come. Instead, I am caught? A brillaint moonbeam has suspended me within midair. I feel warm and peaceful.

I start moving torwards the moon! the pull of the moon like the fish on a string. Im flying even faster, and I feel the urge to look down, so I do so., my eyes drink in the scene, the earth getting smaller. I can see the curves of our blue marble. Brilliant!

My vision is obscured by the brightest of lights! a figure made of pure moonlight stands before me, and outstreches her hand. I take it, and the light creeps through my arm, over my chest, and into my veins.

I haven't a care in the world.
