Conversations with the Universe

poemsbyliz

Have you ever really thought about something?

I mean really,

really think about something.

Until it crushes you with it’s prodigious hand?

Until your soul hurts,

and your brain is thoroughly confused?

Thoughts that are so vast

and so fleeing

you try your best to latch on,

but their intensity surpasses you.

I try to exercise those thoughts,

to really think about them.

I try to understand them more,

and grasp onto them.

I try, but yet, they’re still fleeing.

It’s incredible.

Where do they go?

They go to me. I get thoughts like those at random moments within the day.
