Thanksgiving

w c

Thanksgiving

We cheered our football team

As we always did

They were destined or so it seemed

To get a Thanksgiving win

We ate our turkey and dressing

And had our candied yams

It was a true Thanksgiving blessing

Andl we all smiled like clams

The turkey made us drowsy

And we took our afternoon naps

In was an annual event

And a Thanksgiving ritual perhaps

We watched another football game

And had another piece of pie

With plenty food there for all

With many desserts we tried

We tossed the football around

As was Thanksgiving tradition

And did some storytelling too

And sometimes washed the dishes
