Frozen In

Frozen In

The cold north wind made me shiver

And i did not venture far

It was the middle of December

With a norther there upon

The ducks skated on the lake

And there was a swan there too

The snow fell there all around

With the accumulation a foot or two

The big truck driver plowed a path

So we could get back out

He made a way to the stores

Where cars collided loud

I had a jacket and some gloves

And a wool cap for my head

And some insulated boots

when I went outside instead

The woodstove was a blessing

There in the little cabin

It made all warm and toasty

And we were glad to have it
