It's a bitter pill

Edthepoet

The lies I try n hide are
Advertised by my eyes
The price of a subconscious mind
Not willing to go in blind

The crimes my lies disguise are
Publisized by my smile
The price of a subconscious mind
Willing to do the time

The horse has run her race
And all bets are off
Sat in second place
She fell at the last

Now the house has lost
the people wait in line
To claim their prize
But at what cost.

For a little while
It's a bitter pill to swallow
But swallow it you will
Still be here tomorrow
Is only a day way
Remember this when they say
For a little while
It's a bitter pill to swallow
But swallow it you will
Still be here tomorrow
Is only a day a way.
