Paper

Lindsay-nvn

I sit in front of a blank sheet of paper,

Not knowing what to write.

What you did to me will not leave my mind,

But the page remains white.

Every meal I decided not to eat,

Attempting to be small.

I was never skinny enough for you,

My fat was the downfall.

Every day that I spent alone at home,

Waiting for you to text.

While you were out with another girl,

One who exuded sex.

Every song that reminded of you,

Turned ugly when you left.

All of the words and lessons about love,

brought to dust at your theft.

I sit in front of a blank sheet of paper,

Knowing just what to write.

What you did to me will now leave my mind,

Shifting the page from white.
