Worth the Wait

Frazier922

I feel the shutter as your nose touches mine,
A slight deliverance that is so hard to find.
Lips are yearning, forced to control this rush,
We nod to pause for our hearts to catch up to us.
With my hand on beat, and hair in your face,
The guard of locks my hand will replace.
As you sink in, like comfort when late,
You remind yourself, it was so worth the wait.

  • Comment from author about the poem: You know that little nod right before an intense kiss... that is this. Moving the hair behind her ear... also that is this. I love it.
