Made to fight this fight peacefully

Poetic Dan

My story goes a little like this

I was told when young dinlow (thick) Dan you are
Special needs for learning you'll never make it far
Now you've run away lost in the stress
No more violent threatening drunken illnesses
No more adults taking their inability to enjoy life out on me
Just a passion to work and earn the right to walk my own way
No need for social workers asking me, am I sure it all happen like that?

See now I sit twenty two years later, after having not finished school going through the countless of jobs and skills I've picked up along the way, from all trades of building work (labour), shop( some management), vehicle repairs, to lots of others  like factory and 2 months casino training.

All to be sitting here as self taught animal behaviourist
Picking up a book from an admirable friend
Going through our history of knowledge from 1900 to now
For studying animals is how we understood us more
To then be able to give back this information of what my brain gives these theories and principles
As taken from this university book "there are several schools of behaviourism"
So there are many angles of interpreting someone's reasons for behaviour.

For what many people fail to see in me
Was actually my environment
Invalidating and negative consequences without listening to what the action is saying
But once the choice became mine to control and change
I never stopped  trying to achieve everything that I can
For how you truly vision yourself in the mind
Is what one can do if you let any person tell you what you are capable of

Only thing holding me back was me
That's why I'm saying it in different tunes
As this journey started long ago
Many storms have passed before
My feet are planted, even on all four
In preparation of it getting much worse

I ask for guidance in my dark wolf to hold my feet
I ask for guidance in my light wolf be in my speech
I was made to fight this fight in peace

Your words have done what you intended my friend. I shall stay true to my path, keeping words flowing so I can acknowledge what I feel and see.
May your kindness reflect and bring you peace of mind in your own travels.

"Trying to achieve" is all we ever need Dan - - a moving read about your journey through life's storms toward the light.

May I weather them all and still hold on to the kindness and caring that you show. Thank you deeply for the support

This write speaks to me on a very deep level Dan. It also reminds me of a quote I found in a book one time...
"For when a man no longer confuses himself
With the definition of himself that others have given him
He is at once universal and unique"

        Great write Dan.

Great quote my friend, thank you for connection on this subject. I am glad you can join me on this path of taking off the shackles that people try to project on to others. Really appreciate the support in this most trying part of my life so far but I'm hoping that my life's training will pay off 😉

Dan, I not only admire your writing, but also your willingness to fight this fight, to overcome your maybe self imposed restrictions, to go where you have never gone before, unafraid and with open eyes.
May you succeed in your journey and may it bring you happiness and peace!
