Dance of the Poet's Pen

Accidental Poet

Upon the empty page

The poet’s pen writes

Frolicking as if in dance

Certainly an oddly sight

Movements so smooth

Flowing with elegance

Occasionally a pause

Then resumes the romance

For the romance

Between pen and page

Has been flirting since

The dawn of the writing age

As words are written down

And gracefully the pen moves

As in the grandest of ballrooms

How the heart lightly woos

Eventually cumulative

To a climatic end

Where the page proudly wears

The dance of the poet’s pen

  • Fay Slimm.

A lovely comparison and good use of imagery A.P. - - the poet's pen really does dance across pages at times.

Thank you Fay. It always brings a smile when I read your notes.

A good write AP. And now a silent poem. But won't need any pen or ink. There's no words in it! Makes sense to me. Saves the cost of pen and ink - very expensive(?). heehee.

      • Accidental Poet

No pen or ink too expensive when writing from the heart orchi.

When I was working I used a fountain pen all the time - never used one since and now all my scribblings are with the pencil - an inspired write AP.

        • Poetic Dan

Brilliant although I felt sad that most of mine are done on my phone, but yet some what fun to flip in my head a dancing thumb.

          Great work

As long as you're writing Dan, that's what's important. Thanks for reading and your compliment.
