Unrequited love.

elliechanner

Her story is a sad one,
As when push came to shove
She broke her own heart and sadly,
Lost her life to love.

Her gaze was locked on him
And his was locked on her
She felt love at first sight
But their feelings did not concur.

She tried to stay away,
And treat him as a stranger
But the heart wants what it wants
And hers wanted danger.

She knew her crush was not aloud
And that her love was low
But every time her mind said 'don't'
Her heart told her 'go.'

Her friends said she was playing with fire
And she knew it was the truth
But to her, he was like candy
And she had the sweetest tooth.

But then arrived a day in summer
When she found out something cold
Her lovers heart belonged to another
Yet on her, remained his hold

She begged to god to free her
Because now all she felt was pain
She no longer wished to love him
She just wanted freedom again

And he didn't mean to hurt her
With his smile and his eyes
But before he'd realised what he'd done
At her own hands was her demise

For her heart could no longer take it
he found her pale and dead.
And whilst she never blamed him
His hands; a crimson red.

And now her story finishes
Because push did come to shove.
This was the tragic tale
Of how a girl lost her life to love.
