Chorus:
Pray for the Shepard who preys on his flock
He takes your money with accommodating talk
Self-help groups masquerading as religion
Tithe ten percent and all will be forgiven
I
The big money machine must be constantly fed
It’s due to the machines’ enormous overhead
Rec- center, coffee bar and book store so grand
A creative way to attract you is part of the plan
II
The high- tech stage and lights are candy for the eyes
But they have little relevance in people’s daily lives
Increase their numbers through an interactive campaign
Only certain zip codes allowed in their domain
Chorus:
Pray for the Shepard who preys on his flock
He takes your money with accommodating talk
He wants to attract you through possessive reasons
Rather than reach you through scripture’s teachings
III
Your social standing in the flock is the bottom line
Inside the inner-circle makes you one of the divine
Say, Single mom’s, good things will come your way
If you truly tithe, ten percent of your pay
IV
The Shepard enjoys the coveted tax-exempt status
Tithings into real estate is a common practice
The affluence of the Shepard is the lifestyle he lives
On the shoulders of flock who faithfully give

Really interesting way of structuring the poem, loved the message also!
I write songs, that's why they have a different format from poetry. I hope to get this recorded before the end of the year. I am glad you liked it.
