Beneath The Cloth

Thegirlwhowrites

Beneath the cloth,
Beneath the thin cloth,
Lays a secret.
A secret of pain and sorrow.

Beneath the cloth lays small cuts,
Not cuts from life but from pain.

Beneath the cloth, is someone suffering but never showing.

A secret is hidden with cloth,
Not to fair away nor un-find-able,
If you cared to look.

However, is it a secret if you don't care to know?

Very well written, love the repetition of 'beneath the cloth'. There is something about that expression that intrigues and draws one into the poem.
