Time

chilasian7

The minute hand passes the hour, as the clock ticks and beats its steady blows

Watching it move with a furious pace, wishing that time slows

Time, healer and destroyer of all things, so they say

Could you stop this perfect moment, or give it a little delay

For someone so beautiful, even you should bow down

Cause she is the queen of my everything, the bearer of my heart’s crown

Time, do not take her from me, she is my happiness and my sanity

If my life should go on without her, my heart would be in total tragedy

Do not destroy this perfect love, to take away my life,

Because if love shall escape from the grasp of my hands, I will be left in strife

She is the better part of me, the one who makes me whole

The light that shines through the darkness of my soul

If only time could stop, so I could witness her love that’s eternal.

But if it just goes and passes through, and does as it shall

Sweeping her from my hold, and taking her from my side.

Know my life will have no meaning, as though  I have died.
