Loveliness Anew

thamesrose

An entrancing light echoes around you;

past darkness faults in its delicacy.

Warmth that captures the hazel in your eyes

brings me sweetness and vulnerability.

The haunting of trepidation lacks

the loveliness in the darkened room;

the contentment of my heart with yours.

A burden of trust I placed upon you;

yet only empathy and warmth came anew.
