Lightlessness

Baylee

Drowning in silence

is a cliche

one that holds true

again and again

The black clouds

and cold breeze beneath your skin

This darkness

tastes of the salt

within your tears

enough to fill

the great oceans and seas

Lightlessness:

Suppressing

Restraining

drawing you in

stealing the spark from your eyes

If there was any

to begin with,

that is.

Nicole, it is not only the 'lightlessness' that draws one in, it is your whole poem! Unexpected, but perfect ending! I like it a lot!
