Our Story

Chloe White

Do you remember the way that you felt when you held me in your arms,

When I was in tears,

Because he had broken up with me?

Do you remember on homecoming night when we danced to

“In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young

And the sparks,

Just flew out..

Do you remember the way your lips turned into a smile

When I told you I liked you

Even though you were dating her..

Do you remember when you dumped her for me

Because you’re feelings towards me were stronger

Than your feelings,

Towards her?

Do you remember the taste of my lips

That humid Tuesday morning

When you kissed me for the first time?

Neither of us knew what we were doing

So we laughed.

And kissed again.

Knowing that it was worth getting it wrong a couple of times

To get to that one,

Magical kiss.

Do you remember when you asked me out, in the carrider line

On the, “God forbid anything good happen to you”

Friday, October 13, 2017?

And how we hugged because we were both so happy

To finally get it right,

To finally be together.

And how twenty seconds later someone gave you a box

With a kitten inside and you said,

“Come here. You’ll enjoy this”

Do you remember when I cried that one night

A week before Thanksgiving break

Because I was scared I was going to get fat?

You were the one that calmed me down.

Do you still remember,

Roman J. Israel Esq.?

That wonderful, feel good night?

Do you remember how scared I felt when I got grounded for a month

And I thought you were going to dump me?

For someone better.

Not as complicated.

Someone you could talk to.

That didn’t lose their phone all the time..

Do you remember calming me down, saying

“I’m not leaving you. It’s just a month.

It’s going to be okay..”

Don’t you know?

This is our love story.

Our very own love story.

That we choose the ending to.

A happy ending,

Our very own..

Happy Ending.
