Over the airports misty plain
Hovering through the grayish blue
Shining through the tower’s pane
My eyes, pale dear, are stuck on you
Your many moods deceive
Ebb and flow month to month
Streaming beams I do perceive
Supporting sky as on plinth
A watchful eye you provide
Gleaming, glaring, glamorize
You light the way citywide
A blinding stars cooler disguise
How long you've silently stood
Steadfast and still in silky sky
What makes it still misunderstood
How you made Sinatra fly
Slowly sliding through the night
Overtly overpowering orion
Shadowed by your shimmering might
The stars, blue moon, are crying
How many eyes have fallen
Upon your rocky veneer
Scathed sapient specimen’s
Moonlit troubles disappear
Dusty dunes silently sweet
Sorrow across the surface
Driven into canyons deep
Exposed their lack of purpose
Mystic memories permeation
Eased by gentle elucidation
