In Flight

Thoff1

On several occasions I've made things too hard,
I climb mountains and walk trails that lead nowhere,
I've sat and slept when opportunity flew by, I should've stayed on guard,
When something spectacular happens I wish my mind be clear.

I remember a time when the sky was glass,
Spy, they look to find information,
Oh the time still hasn't passed,
Set free the youth of a nation.

Then seeing truth it's not that bad,
The menacing, crippling, squandering, snakes have yet to bite,
I'm not sad, regretful, angry, nor mad,
I'm prepared to love, fight, win, make, learn. I'm in flight.
