Tongue Like Knives

Imani_moon

He only speaks truths that bare his intentions

The words cut others down

Words hurt just as bad as actions

So much pain, it’s profound

Her soul splits open with invisible wounds

Her soft heart is cracked

Waning constantly like the moon

Sensitivity was something he lacked

His actions are abrupt and curt

What is broken cannot become fully whole again

Everything hurts and everyone is hurt

Life is full of poison that is rejection

The cracks fester into permanent distrust

Open sores ooze unwanted emotions
