Morning Things

Morning Things

In the dawn the night grew tired

And the stars began to expire

And the colors painted soft

Marked the time the sun lifted off

A little quail said bob white

in the growing morning light

There spotlighted on a limb

For all the world to know of him

In the sun a spider web was seen

Its engineered web a wondrous thing

The web thin but very strong

And surprising bugs that came along

And in the sun the dewdrops glistened

And sated those in a thirsty condition

Quenching the thirst of the thirsty there

Before the moisture disappeared

And iridescent the starling sang

Thankful for the morning arranged

With latticework in his feathers

Making him luminous and a little better

Eloquent and descriptive write wc. Then I came along and ruined it by singing 'Morning has broken'..... People thought it was an early-morning cat-fight! lol.

Thanks so much, orchidee. I've been known to sing a little off-key myself!
