Forgotten.

Wallace

A rocking chair that no longer rocks.

A front door that no one knocks.

A home now empty of love and feeling.

A home now empty of family healing.

Life there has up and gone.

Left are only memories that are sad and alone.

Soon its walls will tumble down.

And its once strong foundations will sink and drown.

Makes me think of someone foreseeing the drastic and inevitable changes that come with their future after having lost their spouse and/or family.
