Angel G

Sad Heart, Wild Spirit

So sick of searching for a savior

So I thought

Maybe I should search for myself instead,

But matter of fact,

I don't think this life is about finding yourself

It's about finding the things

That make you live in a reckless self-abandon

I have a sad heart,

But place my hand solemnly on the earth

And I swear

My wild spirit makes up for it

Please don't feel down. You can say what you want, but I am a Christian, and if you do accept Christ as your savior, he will bring you out of your funk. There is always a reason to live.
    Persistence is key

You write what's in your mind or heart, dear. Don't worry about it. I love this, I feel your wild spirit connecting with the earth and becoming whole in the last lines. Wonderful write!

Angel, with 'Sad Heart, Wild Spirit' following so quickly 'Tis the Season' I hope it is just a hang-over and nothing serious!
All joking aside, your 'from the heart' poem poses some interesting questions. Do we need to search for outside help or can we find it inside ourselves? Is throwing caution overboard better than self-contemplation? And lastly, how do I deal with my 'sad heart'? I don't know the answers either, but asking them is a starting point.
As always, admire your writing, and now have to add admiration for your wild spirit as well! And I am sure it will be that 'wild spirit' that will get you out of your 'funk' again!
'Hang Ten' and Aloha from Hawaii!
