"Mine"

AlinaVanderson

“Mine”

Here I am confessing

My journals quite depressing

My nose is too big

My lips are too small

and it’s really quite distressing

I kick in my sleep

My legs are too short

I'm a bit of a creep

And I can’t play a sport

I trip when I walk

I don’t really talk

I like to roll but I never really rock

I pretend I’m so cool

But get bad grades in school

I put up defenses

And become oh so cruel

I take meds for a reason

And I hate the cold season

I mess up the joke

And consider it treason

But I’m quick with a smile

No matter what  time of day

And I’m not that perfect

But you love me anyway.
