You Will Come To Know
I know how you feel
How your pain seems unbearable at times
You think you’re doing fine
Then, out of the blue
It hits you and knocks you down
I Know
I know you wake up
In the middle of the night
Missing someone so close
But so far away
Your need to embrace them
I know
I know how your tears pour like rain
A torrential rainstorm
Is only a drop away
But you fight to hold it inside
At least until you’re alone
I know
I know you speak to them
Your heart cries out
Of the never ending love
That has always been between you
You look for signs of acknowledgement
I know
I know how the pride in your heart
A pride that comes from them
Can turn your frown into a smile
How that love is ever present
As you feel the embrace of Heaven
I know
I know how you would give
Almost anything for another chance
One more day with them
To touch your hand upon their face
To say, “I love you” again and again
I know
I know there’s only one place
One place you can go to
Where you can fall to your knees
With a rose in hand
One place that’s closest
To that Heaven in your heart
I know
I know you think of Heaven
As up in skies above
But Heaven is everywhere
And especially in our hearts
And this too
You will come to know
