Hollow

where did my shiny go

Discard this receptacle

It brings only pain

A rawness that prickles

Impossible to tame

The day forever lingers

And hurts me when it can

There is nothing I want from it

Nor woman nor man

Hollowed out and fading

For want to disappear

Eaten from the inside

Isolation brought me here

To vanish with no trace

No footprints or memories

To wipe from history

A forgotten soliloquy

quickly torn away

but its left such a mark

something to sink into

no light from the dark

You describe the hollow feeling so deep and touching, and it caught me. Well done piece. Welcome to this site.
