Little Angels

w c

Little Angels

They have their snaggle teeth

And cow licks in their hair

And they scuff their little knees

And have trouble climbing stairs

They also get the cooties

(is that a name for lice)

And need shoelaces tended to

Wouldn’t velcro there suffice

What about runny noses

And germs everywhere

They’re kids with dirty tissues

And gum in their hair

And what about the naps

With each his little bed

Wouldn’t it be better

If the teacher napped instead

And then there is the crying

And all the acting out

Wouldn’t it be better

If they all just learned to pout

And what if in their lunch pails

The kids brought along a phone

So they could message mom

To come and take them home
