No Sunset

Scout

There was not sunset in your goodbye.
You’re leaving left no trail of beauty.
No threads of hope.
No value.
Instead of promises of tomorrows
you left doubt.
There was no color in your goodbye.
No.
Your leaving was grey
With hues of self hatred.
Heavy on the hearts of those that tried.
That tried to love you into your potential.

I just commented on your latest poem and really like the last line. Same here! You do have knack of finishing off with great lines!
