The first snow

daisychain

Snow had fallen, not much

but just enough to please the contours of my heart.

The silence it brought was deafening.

A welcome change from the sound

of cars' tyres.

It lay white, untouched, like a blank page,

Beautiful.  Snowflakes glistened

and sparkled like jewels,

each flake a wonderful work of art.
