As They Carried Me

Edthepoet

They say you hear
The angels sing
I must admit
I didn't hear a thing
The sky was blue
In fields of green
As they carried me
Back down to Angelique

All I ever really did need
Was her alone to need in me.
Shes the only one
who truly believed
one day I
would become somebody.

They say you see
The angels wings
I must concede
I didn't see a thing
The flowers bloom
In sun shining
As they carried me
Back down to Angelique

All I ever really did need
Was her alone to need in me
Shes the only one
who truly believed
one day I
would become somebody

    Ed,
    What happened to Angelique?
Such a sad write! It brought
    tears to my eyes!

Angelique lost a husband to War.. I'm not sure what happened to her..maybe you could write the next chapter. 🙂
