In the smooth opal of darkness
A rebellious spark of fire is born
Beautifully wild & hypnotic
It ignites where love was once adorned

Wisps of irresistible smoke
Undulate into the dark sky
Intoxicating with desire
& with each flicker it intensifies

Stirring from the black of night
The fire begins to yearn
Enticing with passion-licked flames
& I am dying to burn

“A rebellious spark of fire is born”...
This line pulled me right into your poem!

    “The fire begins to yearn”...
and with an incendiary passionate embrace, I seized the vision...a vision to behold!

    The spark never dies!

A gem of a poem! You always amaze me!

    As always...

                            lusty old burning embers
                            he too had passionate heart
                            when he decided to depart
                            one night, early september

good to see the vigour of passion shining thru your poetry today.

shook it well and broke his tooth
then he took off with out a trace
I hope he knows I miss his face
