Unbreakable

Baylee

You see

a puff of warm breath

fleeing from his ice blue lips

She sees

a truth that he dares to tell

if anyone is willing

to look past his surface

You see

a weakness in his tears

as they turn to icicles dangling from

his ash blonde lashes

She sees

crystals of a past

that has never been told

She sees

a reflection in

those tiny blue droplets

a reflection of herself

and the pain she holds dear

She sees a man

with stars for eyes

holding within them the wonders

of our galaxies;

With hands that blanket her

in times of need and times of bliss;

With a heart of diamond

beautiful,

yet unbreakable.
