Heaven In My Heart

Accidental Poet

Heaven In My Heart

I gaze into the abyss of my heart

And there I see a warm glow never to depart

A light of love brighter than the sun

Between a Mother and her long lost Son

Emotions we share between Earth and Heaven

On Mother’s Day, December third and eleven

And she's with me today

Smiling for me on my birthday

She’s there in the very core of me

Every day and every night, so affectionately

She holds me in her loving embrace

And in my mirror I see her lovely face

Our eyes of blue have shared many silent tears

That look of love, so long ago, so many years

With more love than I’ve ever known

I pray for a miracle as I stare at my phone

To hear her sweet voice in my ear

Tell her that I feel her love coming through loud and clear

She’s with me when I’m driving in my car

No matter where I go, near or far

From within comes a bright light of love

For Heaven is everywhere, not just above

All my life she’s loved me, right from the start

For as long as I live, I’ll have Heaven in my heart

Yes orchi, and we're also 6 hours behind you. 4 PM here, and 10 PM for you Brits. So toss something way up in the air and 6 hours later I'll catch it. ; )

Yes orchi, I'm just a babe in the playground of life next to you. I've been meaning to ask you orchi, did you help that Neanderthal man find his way? We haven't seen him around.

This is a gorgeous and very openly emotional poem. I love the idea of having heaven in your heart- it's a beautiful idea that had never been apparent to me.
