Christmas Eve

winternightsky123

Fluffy, white cotton lands everywhere around you, creating a new layer of freshly made snow.

It crunches under your boots, reminding you of its delightful presence.

The soft, muffled sound of “Winter Wonderland” is adding to your excitement, as well as the faint smell of cinnamon that seeps through the kitchen window.

The ground is only illuminated by the full, gleaming moon that hangs in the sky, urging you to go inside.

Your auntie swings open the door, wearing a flour-covered apron, and invites you in.

A welcoming sound of laughter and happiness fills the space around you.

The warmth of the house is comforting as you greet your fellow relatives, and soon you’re settled in, singing along to Christmas tunes.

Mugs of boiling hot chocolate are passed around the room, steam rising and creating a scrumptious aroma.

Soon it’s time for bed, though no one wants to go. Everyone’s waiting patiently for Santa Claus to arrive. But soon, the patience starts to fade, and is replaced by a sleep full of glorious dreams...

What a wonderful Christmas Eve.
