I Saw A Bunting Today
I saw a bunting in my yard
And he was quite a sight
He was a beautiful painted one
And man he really shined
A glass of wine encouraged me
To put a feeder up
I didn’t know what I might see
But I bought an ID book
The book had many colorful pictures
Of birds of all types
I wondered which of them I’d see
If I fed them what they liked
The feeder was a real success
With buntings and cardinals there
And a flock of blackbirds too
And finches everywhere
I put a puzzle on a folding table
With many jumbled pieces
We worked on it every time we could
Until it was completed
When all the pieces were in place
The birds were illustrated
With the beautiful painted ones
And the others appreciated
