Broken Heart

I was alone with a broken heart

And I knew not where to go

I’d lost my direction and needed a start

To heal my broken soul

I took steps down a new path

Without her there with me

I would one day be better perhaps

With a forgotten history

When would it be over

When would I feel better

With many days of rain and cold

Where was my change in weather

I traveled to some place exciting and new

I changed my scenery

I ran from the problem that was there

I ran from humanity

When would be my next stop

When would I reach the end

When would I take my next shot

And let another in
