Replaceable

Baylee

The sun can no longer set me free

the loneliness

which used to only consume me

as the darkness did

does not retreat

in the light of day

So come be restless with me

tossing and turning within the nothingness

of this existence

I used to resist this emptiness

which would strangle my heart

seeping colors of blue, purple, white

Since when did the intake of oxygen

become so difficult?

Since when have my words

been as replaceable as my body?

Since when have the shadows of the night

become my favorite color,

and my best friend?
