Trail Of Sighs

La Plume De Noir

   Trail Of Sighs

Laid back in delight in rampaging rapture
cascading sensations in the valley of sighs
writhing lips and luscious licks and lashes
ecstasy shimmering in her tight closed eyes

'Tis the stuff of lustful fantasies
Of things too wondrous to be real
Thrills beyond one's thought capacity
Beyond the limits of touch and feel

Sensations raised to lofty eminence
through workings of an enchanted mind
Feelings amplified and generously gifted
love has lucid moments and moments blind

In the subdued shimmering light of ecstasy
he paints northern lights into her skies
the glowing luminance of what can be
that lights the way on this trail of sighs

Beautiful poem, love the last stanza!
Especially that beautiful choice of words: 'paints northern lights into her skies'
