Emotional Medicine

Ashtonrose

This is the emotional medicine, I must admit

it's the only thing I can insist

so try it sometime when you're feeling down

just make sure no one's around

they'll just think you're all around messed up

they'll try hard to argue and interrupt

when you try to say

"It's not like it's hurting you any ways"

cause this is just my emotional medicine

these damn things are running thin

you long for just one more steel kiss

they never hesitate to ask why you do this

you try so hard to explain

they just can't accept something this "insane."

you know they just don't get why

they just criticize with curious eyes

you just ignore it and always stay strong

who cares if they think it's wrong

cause you still have your emotional medicine

I swear these damn things are running thin

this blade is my personal drug

giving it one more small tug

I watch as the blood appears

inviting the pain as its ears

escaping to my much loved fantasy

they think "What a catastrophe"

but why should they care

all they ever do is stare

just cause of this emotional medicine

so much time running so thin

they'll wish you never started

they'll think you're cold-hearted

just for being into self-mutilation

loving this sudden sensation

adrenaline pulses your veins

the wounds heal and just become stains

this medicine helps your mind

it helps you let go and unwind

hear me when I say "this is my emotional medicine"

I swear it's running so thin

I love my emotional medicine
