rose

Sammi97

If I was to give you my heart , would you stab me like a thorn ? Tell you I love you , while I bleed out on the floor ! You slam the door , you don't want to hear about how I'm the rose and your the thorns . So perfect together , we're the perfect storm .

I know I'm not perfect , always saying how you liked me before . Before I knew all of the lies. Like I was the garden and your the secret window leading to a new vision . A vision of the past , flash , blast , of the person you want me to be . The person I was but that ain't me ! Picking out flowers to point out what you want me to be . A fantasy of a dream that I refuse to be . I gave you my all and you rejected me .

I changed so many times , but you always rejected me , saying how I should talk, dress , act like I wasn't supposed to be me . I was supposed to be a girl you dreamed of me to be . Picking out flaws and replacing them with another . Telling me how this style could make me draw your attention . But baby I'm a rose and I'm not ganna change .

You would probably faint if you heard me tripping about this today . But how can dream of another when your inside of my pedals , crawling to the middle to break what's inside of me . That wasn't your intention but all of the flowers caught your attention . Now your replacing the real me with what you want me to be . Like a bee taking all of me . killing me slowly so you can breathe . All the toxins inside of me slowly building up untill I stab you with my thorn , protecting my beauty , the being inside of me .

I'm a rose , special in my own way . One day youll realize you rubbed my pedals the wrong way . I am a rose , beautiful and free . Cutting me down would be the death of me.  I am a rose.
