Becoming a Memory

Edthepoet

You're not a criminal
Maybe a little cynical
Give yourself a break
Coz No one else will

Waiting on a miracle
Like the hysterical
You don't have to make
Anything of it all

Well lets drink to you and me
Becoming a memory
Come on and say what you really mean
It's not like we're in love
In love like we use to be

The unforgivable
Well we're all capable
Before judgements laid
Is anyone to blame

We're individuals
Looking for a worthy cause
Where we belong we stay
Dreaming of a better place

Well lets drink to you and me
Becoming a memory
Come on and say what you really mean
It's not like we're in love
In love like we use to be

So you didn't
Get the girl
You couldn't
Save her from herself
And you couldn't
Give the world
You shouldn't
Blame yourself

Lets drink to you and me
Becoming a memory
Come on and say what you really mean
It's not like we're in love
In love like we use to be
