I Don\\\'t Wanna Be a Gem

ehoskii

My mom always said I was a precious gem

But I don’t wanna be a gem

I wanna be like the sand

It gets a new start

Every time the ocean comes in

The only one that knows my sadness

Is the camera when I smile

It can tell im in pain

And have been for a while

It mocks me when it flashes

Cause it knows the smiles fake

After the pictures taken

My heart continues to ache

I wish I could escape this messed up world

I never fit in anyways

Seems like everywhere I look someone is having a bad day

When did we become like this, no one looking out for each other

Have weve forgotten that everyones our brother?

I pray that in my next life

Things wont be like this
