To Myself

Davona0224

 Before I was hiding,

the dark folding over me.

I peaked through the petal,

seen a peak of light.

Wanting to escape,

"I can't live in this dark forever"

Petal after petal after petal

Dropping hitting the ground.

I see light,

feeling the breeze slowly hit my face running through my hair

Breaking out of the dark, I see beauty

All of the things I could've missed out on,

I'm finally included.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Not letting depressions run over my mind, I'm trying to not let it destroy me. The petals represent the syptoms of depressions and the petals falling are just those syptoms wearing off.
