Her

she_was_torture

Her. Just the thought of her fills him up and threatens to make his heart burst. Her eyes, her brain, her lips, her hair- her. His eyes are drowned in tears, sliding down his face. The memory of her. The lost pictures, the found heart. Stolen kisses and taken love. She was his world, his everything. He made sure she had the life she wanted- the life they both wanted. He was her love, her heart- but not her world. Her world was the sea. The open, endless sea called to her as a mother calls to her child. She answered the call and left him, bleeding and empty. Searching and searching- he chased after her, to only ever come back empty-handed and empty-hearted. She missed him so, but knew he was better off; they both were. She was happy and home; he was miserable but strong. Everyone in his life told him to forget her, but he knew she would never leave his mind. The water- a constant reminder of what he lost; what it took. She watched from a distance as he cried and cried, begging for her to come back. She was stricken with grief and regret- but knew she could not interfere with Destiny. Death would come for them all  eventually, but some earlier than others. His was fated to happen before her, and she knew it. She watched it. She determined it.
